      What you’ll do

The Cybersecurity Incident Response team fulfills one of the most critical roles for IT Security – responding to detected or reported security incidents. The team evaluates information to identify incident impact, performs investigation, determines facts, coordinates containment & response, identifies recovery actions to prevent future recurrence, builds and issues executive communications, and provides reporting and trending for these security incidents. We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional Cybersecurity Incident Response Coordinator to help us mature our incident response capabilities.

The Cybersecurity Incident Response Coordinator, will lead coordination for the entire lifecycle of security incidents: setting up communications upon identification of an event, partnering with IT teams to gather & maintain appropriate resources to assist in the phases of response, tracking the status of analysis performed by threat incident analysts and identified response actions, keeping IT Security teams informed of status & performing follow-ups, building & issuing appropriate-level communications to leaders (including senior executives), transitioning incidents to future recovery & prevention efforts, and tracking/reporting for open and closed incidents. In this role you will be the primary point for cybersecurity incidents we manage. You will partner with other IT security leaders to facilitate strong cybersecurity operations practices throughout the IT organization.

      What you’ll need

You’ll need to be able to lead cross-functional teams, guiding the team to results quickly while ensuring that all available information is considered, and regularly document business-focused communications to update stakeholders from technical teams to senior executives. Our team is looking for people with a passion for cyber security, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to drive better solutions and get results. We want associates that are familiar with fostering a strong collaborative environment in high-pressure situations, responding with appropriate speed and urgency to critical security issues.

      Successful Candidates will have:

      • Minimum of 5 years of IT Security experience
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or a related field
      • Experience in a multi-faceted coordination & communications role (direct incident coordination experience, or cross-functional coordination roles such as project or product ownership), driving to results quickly while ensuring that all available information is considered and stakeholders are updated.
      • Expertise in security incident management techniques throughout the entire lifecycle: assessment, containment, restoration, documentation, evidence preservation, and forensics.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or a related field
      • Direct experience in Security Incident Coordination
      • Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, etc.
      • Familiarity with the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), common security controls and their purposes, and technologies that supply those controls
